MAH MBA CET Results Are Out

The Maharashtra CET official state government website is the verified source of the MAH MBA/MMS CET 2026 results. It has published MAH CET results to help MBA students select the right MBA college in Maharashtra. We will publish a decision table at the end of this article to help students choose the right MBA college for the 2026-28 batch after evaluating the eligibility criteria and pros and cons of several MBA courses. For thousands of MBA aspirants targeting the 2026–28 batch, it is time to move from your CET score to which college, specialisation, location, fees, ROI, and career path.

Note that the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has declared the scores for MAH MBA/MMS CET 2026. Multiple media reports are citing the CET Cell's announcement. The official body of MAH CET 2026 said eight candidates scored a full 100 percentile, while about 1.2 lakh candidates appeared in the first attempt. However, not all MBA aspirants can secure a confirmed admission to a top MBA college in Mumbai, such as Sydenham Institute of Management Studies (SIMSREE) or Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), because of the high CET cutoff of over 99 percentile.

The next 10 days are critical for your MBA career in deciding how to use your percentile and find the best MBA college admission in 2026. A strong score without proper college planning can still lead to a poor MBA career selection. A delay in the MBA college selection process based on your CET score can put your career in jeopardy. Note that even the biggest names can guarantee a premium placement for freshers. Even an IIM MBA cannot guarantee 100% placement, except for the top ones, like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Calcutta. Do not go for the name; go for the value that the MBA will create for you in the long term.

Top MBA colleges are expensive in terms of fees; most charge north of 25 lacs. You can get the same career progression with good ROI MBA colleges in Mumbai, such as the ASBS MBA chain of business schools in Navi Mumbai, such as the Oriental School of Business (OSB), Terna Global Business School (TGBS), H.K. Institute of Management Studies & Research (HKIMSR), Oriental Institute of Management (OIM), and Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IME) Kharghar. All these MBA colleges offer affordable MBA programs with strong placements for freshers. ASBS MBA recorded over 98% placement for its 2024-26 batch.

Even if you get a moderate score, say below 90 percentile, and plan well, you can still select the right MBA college with your preferred specialisation and a strong ROI. Note that the placement record of the MBA college is critical for your MBA college selection fr your dream career to take off in 2028 after you complete your MBA.

How to Use the MAH CET Percentile Score

A CET percentile determines the MBA college you are eligible for in Mumbai. Even if you have an eligible score, your admission also depends on seat availability, category, university, all-India competition, institute preference, and CAP round. The percentile is not the only decisive factor. A 99.9+ percentile may open doors to the most reputed Mumbai MBA/MMS colleges. A 95–99 percentile can still bring strong Mumbai college options. Even students scoring below 90 percentile can secure admission to a decent MBA college in Mumbai with a strong ROI and placement record. All you need is a robust college short-listing plan, especially if you are looking for career-focused MBA or MMS+ programs in finance, marketing, HR, analytics, or operations.

For students focusing on core finance MBA placements

Students interested in core finance must look beyond the word “Finance” in the brochure. The right college should build your skills in financial markets, corporate finance, accounting, banking, credit, risk, investment products, FinTech, AIF, asset class markets, and core financial operations.

Aspirants targeting core finance should evaluate colleges on five parameters:

Finance Selection ParameterWhat to Check
Finance curriculum depthCorporate finance, banking, risk, markets, valuation, investment products, AIF, Aset class markets,
Placement rolesAnalyst, fund accounting, credit analyst, risk analyst, wealth manager, BFSI sales, investment banking operations
Industry-relevant advanced toolsExcel, financial modelling, Power BI, analytics, market databases, data analytics, Quant, equity research, financial modelling
Industry exposureGuest lectures, live projects, internships, finance workshops, finance labs
Career alignmentWhether the program prepares for BFSI, investment operations, FinTech or corporate finance, AIF, asset class markets, data analytics, financial modelling

For top percentile (99.9+) students, JBIMS, SIMSREE, Welingkar, SIES, and XIMR may be suitable for finance careers.

What if you do not score 99 percentile?

For students outside the very top percentile band, career-focused Mumbai/Navi Mumbai programs like ASBS MBA in core finance, BFSI exposure, investment banking operations, hedge fund operations, financial modelling, and finance lab exposure can be strong alternatives.

A student interested in equity research, credit analysis, or an investment banking operations career should not choose a college only because of its legacy or location. A student interested in building a career in BFSI sales, wealth management, or FinTech should check whether the program offers industry-relevant certifications, internships, live projects, finance and skills labs, and a list of top recruiters.

The next 10 days matter more than the exam itself.

The MAH MBA/MMS CET 2026 result is not an admission race. It has shifted from examination performance to decision-making to select the best MBA option that adds value, not just a degree, but as a career progression. For MBA aspirants targeting the 2026–28 batch, the question is no longer only about the percentile but about college choice, location, return on investment, specialisation strength, and placement record. An incorrect MBA college preference, weak career planning, or poor ROI evaluation can reduce the value of a strong CET score. The next 10 days can decide the next two years of your career.

Why is the MH CET percentile not the only factor?

A CET percentile is your gateway to top MBA colleges in Mumbai. It does not automatically tell you which college is best for your career choice. Students must evaluate colleges through four factors:

  • Admission probability
  • Specialisation strength
  • Placement outcomes
  • ROI.

Finance-focused students must opt for core finance MBA colleges. The core finance curriculum requires more than theory-based finance subjects. Students should check before joining whether the institute prepares them for roles in corporate finance, BFSI, investment banking operations, hedge fund operations, risk, credit, fund accounting, financial modelling, analytics, AIF, asset class markets, and wealth management.

Why ASBS MBA for core finance aspirants?

ASBS MBA is a career-oriented management education platform. It offers strong placements, job readiness, and core finance-linked careers. For students with a moderate CET percentile who still want to build finance careers, the ASBS MBA can be a great option in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.

ASBS MBA offers the best core finance placements for freshers, along with career preparation in finance, marketing, and HR. Its finance curriculum offers the core finance specialisation depth, especially relevant for students targeting corporate finance, investment banking operations, hedge fund operations, BFSI, fund accounting, financial modelling, risk support and financial analytics roles.

For a finance aspirant, the value of ASBS MBA lies in three layers:

ROI analysis: how to choose an MBA college after CET

MBA aspirants often compare colleges only by brand name. They must consider a strong ROI MBA college and calculate the ROI in terms of total cost, expected salary, placement quality and time to recover the investment.

College FactorsWhat Students Should Check
Total feeTuition fee, add-on charges, travel, hostel, and living costs
Average salaryMore important than only the highest package
Role qualityFinance analyst, fund accountant, BFSI manager, credit analyst, marketing manager, HR manager
Location costDaily travel vs hostel vs relocation
Payback periodTime required to recover the MBA investment
Career growthWhether the first job can lead to stronger roles in 2–3 years

A college charging a very high fee must have strong brand equity, top recruiters, and superior entry-level job roles for recent graduates. A mid-fee college can offer better ROI if it is affordable and provides a high starting salary, strong placement support, and access to top recruiters.

For example, a student choosing an MBA in core finance should not only ask, “What is the highest package?”

The pertinent questions to be asked are:

  • How many students got finance roles?
  • Were the roles in core finance, BFSI sales, fund accounting, risk, credit, operations or analytics?
  • What was the average package?
  • How many students converted internships into jobs?

Location advantage: why Mumbai and Navi Mumbai matter

For MBA aspirants, location plays a critical role in college selection. Mumbai is India’s financial capital and home to top banks, NBFCs, asset management companies, FinTech firms, insurance companies, broking houses, consulting firms, corporate headquarters, and fund operations employers.

Navi Mumbai offers a lower cost of living than South Mumbai. It offers a growing corporate infrastructure, better access for students from Thane, Kalyan, Panvel, Raigad, and the rest of Maharashtra. It offers Mumbai’s employment market.

For core finance students, studying near Mumbai or Navi Mumbai can improve exposure to internships, live projects, industry sessions, corporate visits, and a strong placement network. Institutes such as JBIMS, Welingkar, SIES, and ASBS MBA could be a better choice in different percentile and ROI segments.

Parting Words for Mumbai MBA Aspirants

The CET result is important, but it does not alone decide the career outcome. The actual result will be visible two years later, when a student enters the job market with a degree, skills, internship record, confidence, and a clear career path. For the 2026–28 MBA batch, the smartest students will not simply chase the highest college name available. They will choose the institution that matches their percentile, budget, specialisation, and career ambition.
