MH CET Admission Notice for MBA/MMS for Academic Year 2026-28

Applying to the MAH MBA/MMS CET CAP is mandatory for students seeking admission to MMS programs. Students need to apply for CAP rounds on www.mahacet.org. Students must first register on the official MH CET website. The website provides CET admission information and FC (Facilitation or Scrutiny Center) verification details. Students can register and submit their applications for CAP rounds from 2 July 2026 to 12 July 2026, up to 5 pm. The online application and registration include uploading documents on the MH CET portal for admission. This applies to students across India seeking MBA admission through the CAP process based on their CET 2026 scores.

If you are an MBA aspirant who appeared in the MH CET exam and are now seeking admission to a top Maharashtra MBA college by applying online through the CET CAP, the CET has issued a notice outlining the online registration for CAP, scanning and uploading documents on the CET portal, and scrutinising your documents via E-Verification or physical verification (via FC). It depends on the verification mode selected by the candidate.

CET has shared the FC (facilitation center) update for admission to MBA 2026-27. This FC is helpful for students applying for MBA Admission 2026-27 based on their CET scores. They must complete the CAP (Centralised Application Process) by the deadline mentioned below. FC helps students with physical document verification and e-scrutiny after submitting documents online on the MH CET portal. The FC update outlines the process, stages of document verification, and whether the documents are successfully verified.

Online Registration for CAP Application for MBA CET Admission 2026-27

We have outlined the online scrutiny, physical verification, and confirmation process below.

If you are an MBA aspirant seeking admission to Maharashtra MBA colleges and have appeared in CET, you must know about the facilitation or the scrutiny process during CAP rounds.

Step 1: You must register on the MHCET portal for the CAP process.

Step 2: Upload the required documents on the portal for admission.

Step 3: E-scrutiny mode

CET Online scrutiny mode

If you have selected the online mode of verification, you do not need to visit the FC to verify documents and confirm the application form. The CET Scrutiny Department will verify the documents and confirm the application through the e-scrutiny mode.

Step 4: Check the errors

If no error is found:

Candidates can log in to their accounts between 3 July and 13 July 2026, until 5 pm, and check the status of verification and confirmation of the application form with the receipt cum acknowledgement.

If an error is found

Candidates can log in to their accounts between 3 July and 13 July 2026, until 5 pm, to check the details of error intimation by reverting the application to candidates. Candidates must rectify and resubmit the application form for e-scrutiny.

Step 5: Physical verification at the FC

CET Physical scrutiny mode

Candidates selecting the physical verification mode must visit the FC they have selected during the online submission of the application form. They must carry the required documents and visit the FC within the allotted time/slot. After verification, students can fill the CAP application form online. They need to scan and upload the documents. They must get the application verified and confirmed by the FC

Step 6: Receipt cum Acknowledgement

Once the FC physically verifies and confirms the application form, the FC will issue the receipt cum acknowledgement form.

Why CAP is Critical in College Selection in 2026

For the MMS 2026-28 batch, students should closely track the official CAP schedule, cutoff scores, document verification process, option form filling, and institute selection. Oriental Institute of Management, Vashi, and H.K. Institute of Management Studies and Research, Jogeshwari, are strong options for students looking for affordable MMS education, practical learning, and placement-oriented outcomes.

Oriental Institute of Management and H.K. Institute of Management Studies and Research are part of the ASBS MBA family. Both institutes offer MMS programmes through the official CAP round, making them relevant choices for students who want to complete their MBA/MMS journey through recognised Maharashtra admission channels.

Why CET Cutoff Scores Matter?

CET cutoff scores help students improve their chances of admission to different MMS colleges. The official CET Cutoff Explorer provides previous-year cutoff details for various institutes and courses, which students can use to compare colleges before filling the option form.

Top Mumbai MMS colleges such as JBIMS, SIMSREE, Welingkar, PUMBA, SIES and others usually require very high percentiles. For example, expected or previous cutoff discussions often place JBIMS close to 99.99 percentile and SIMSREE around 99.97 percentile.

But students below the 90% percentile range should not assume that their MBA/MMS journey is over. Many strong institutes in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai accept students at more competitive cutoff levels, especially through CAP rounds, category seats, institute-level rounds, and later-round movement.

MMS Options for Students Below the 90 Percentile

Students who do not get admission into 99+ percentile colleges can consider institutes that offer a better balance of location, affordability, specialisations, placement support, and practical learning.

Two important options are:

  • Oriental Institute of Management, Vashi
  • H.K. Institute of Management Studies and Research, Jogeshwari

Both institutes are part of the ASBS MBA family and offer MMS admission through the CAP round. They are suitable for students who want a recognised MMS route with career-focused learning and placement support.

Based on cutoff trends, Oriental Institute of Management has been seen around the 82 percentile range in recent MAH CET cutoff references, with one 2025 Round 3 reference showing the overall MMS cutoff range going up to 82.08 percentile. H.K. Institute of Management Studies and Research has also been seen in a similar competitive range, with one 2025 reference showing the last-round MBA/MMS cutoff at 82.4 percentile.

Students should treat these numbers as indicative and must verify the latest category-wise, round-wise, and quota-wise cutoffs on the CET Cutoff Explorer before filling the CAP option form.

Why Choose Oriental Institute of Management, Vashi?

Oriental Institute of Management is located in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The institute states that for MMS/MBA admission, giving an entrance test is mandatory, and it lists MH-CET among important admission routes.

Salary and Placement Opportunities

Students choosing MMS colleges should look at salary outcomes, recruiter quality, role clarity, internships, placement training and long-term career growth.

For ASBS MBA partner institutions like OIM and HKIMSR, students can expect placement-oriented learning with salary opportunities generally positioned in the competitive MMS range. Depending on student profile, specialisation, recruiter, role and market conditions, salary opportunities can be communicated around the 6 to 10 LPA range for stronger profiles, while actual final packages vary by company and candidate performance.

Why ASBS MBA Partner Institutions Matter During CAP

Many students fill the CAP option form based only on cutoffs. That is a mistake. A good MMS choice should match the student’s score, location preference, fee comfort, specialisation interest, placement expectations and career goal.

Final Word

Your CET percentile is important, but it is not the only factor that decides your MBA/MMS future. If you do not get into the top 99 percentile colleges, you can still make a strong career move by choosing the right MMS institute through CAP.

Oriental Institute of Management, Vashi, and H.K. Institute of Management Studies and Research, Jogeshwari, offer practical MMS options for the 2026-28 batch. As part of the ASBS MBA family, both institutes give students a route to pursue MMS through the CAP round with specialisations in Finance, Marketing, HR, Operations and Systems, along with placement support and career-focused learning.
